2013 has been a great year for Eastside Teen Outreach and the teens we serve!

This year, we completed several community service projects including helping the Chamber spruce up the Gratiot sidewalks from 8 Mile all the way to 14 mile Road.  In addition to our bullied-teen support group “Heroes”, we started a new group called “Freedom” that helps teens dealing with substance abuse and living in families with addiction.  Freedom has lived up to its name, helping many young adults cope with this serious problem.

We had a super successful Pancake Cook-off event in March, with over 100 in attendance. Our “Heroes” Bullying Awareness Rally attracted lots of community leaders and taught teens and their families about the scourge of bullying and how to protect their families from it.  We had several awesome, clean concerts and dance parties where kids could have fun in a safe, positive atmosphere. We danced with the Senior Citizens at Chester Barry at their annual Snowball Dance, and our Director, Doug Trocino literally went to Hell (Michigan) and Back to honor all the difficult issues today’s teens deal with in their lives.

2013 was super rewarding, and many young lives were changed for the better!  2014 is going to be off the charts!  We have SO many new programs planned!  We’ve got more community events planned, we’re going to be promoting physical fitness, helping kids with their homework, starting a drama club, starting a band, and bringing more support groups online.  Our concerts and dances are going to be held more regularly and more often.  And “To Hell and Back” is going to be a full bike-a-thon!  You’re invited to join us for the ride of your life!

We are looking for partners with a heart for youth to help bring all these new and exciting programs to life!  An investment in youth is an investment that pays off.  Teen centers like Eastside Teen Outreach have proven time and again to raise graduation rates, lower crime rates, and improve their local communities in many ways.

Please consider giving a tax-deductible end of the year gift to Eastside Teen Outreach.
$50 will sponsor a “Heroes” or “Freedom” support group meeting. $100 will purchase food for our weekly dinner. $500 will purchase a laptop to help us help teens with their homework. Any gift of $30 or more will identify you as an ETO Community Partner, and for businesses, any gift of $300 or more will identify you as an official ETO Corporate Partner for 2014.  Both community partners and corporate partners will receive special benefits as a thank you for supporting the Eastside Teen Outreach teens!

You can be a vital part of a growing, dynamic organization that changes lives for the better!
